I love this song, as rendered by Lata Mangeshkar in the 70s. That was set to a more bracing beat. I gifted myself on my 24th birthday when I learned this song independently. My parents were surprised at first but my mom encouraged me soon after. Even as a muslim my mom and I diligently worked to encourage awareness of the essense of this song in our family.

Every time I listen to this song, my hairs stand on their end. It's feels like a thousand volt of electricity running through my body and inspires me for ridding this world of all muslims and islam for the utold miseries, bloodshed, torture, rape, killings and suffering that they have brought upon us. This must be the national song of Bharath.

This should without any doubt Indian national song. India has suffered a lot from invaders beginning from the Arabians, the Turkish, the Moguls and the European, mainly england. jai Hind
I am still whenever i hear/listen this song . So nothing much just salute the whole team behind the song - writer/singer/composer . Even after 60 years of freedom movement and at the time of globalization . This song still has something to make you still and same can be felt in you body reaction . Just salute .
First time I heard this song, I was like okay, this is good. But, now, I've been listening to this song (male and female versions) for the past so so many hours and I'm not able to move away from it.

I agree. I had dared to sing the song during my college days, had to reduce the pace a bit. Had to switch to newer version which lata didi had sung in 'Aye mere watan ke logo'. Very difficult to have a control on the breath. Lata didi is a maestro when it comes to controlling breath in the songs.
Bingo.. You will see that none of the participants in any reality shows don't even attempt to try this one.
