Vikram Hazra songs and bhajans

Vikram Hazra, attending his satsangs (also known as bhajan concerts or devotional song concerts) is an experience in itself. The soulful music that comes out of his electric guitar, the divine chants or divine sanskrit slokas that he sings from his devotional heart. All this touches the heart and being of the listeners.

Those who attend the Satsang or Bhajan concert does not remain, just the listeners. They become participants as Vikram Hazra encourages them to sing along with him. Singing along is not the only thing they participate in. They participate in the joy, the bliss, the dance, the meditative mood that is created during the satsang. A journey to a different, elevating and blissful world is what his satsang has to offer.

This one is one of the most favorite bhajan sung by Vikram Hazra. In the cd containing this song are more Hindi bhajans all sung by Vikrambhaiya but this one somehow became favorite even though the form of Lord Shiva is the one which i get usually attracted to. Perhaps the music that goes with this devotional song is capturing too.

Also this bhajan due it's music reminds me of Vikram Hazras visit to studios watching Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Also more recent performance at the AIDS Candlelight Memorial organised by Parmeshwar Godrej and the Heroes Project at Shivaji Park, Mumbai., where he writes

"We had a wonderful surprise as Ehsaan Noorani came onstage along with the talented singer Anusha Mani to perform a couple of songs from Rock On! the crowd went wild :) and of course I was so charged after the long Kriya, Guru pooja and satsang that I cdnt sleep till 3am!"

Well am waiting for Ehsaan his friends and Vikram Hazra to create some great Bhajan Album. Will that happen ? God has the answer.

While driving this bhajan repeats a lot on high volume and sing along goes almost everytime, well sometimes it's shout along. This bhajan creates a yearning to meet God.Something inside shouts with deep yearning to meet God the beloved of Radhe.

The lyrics of Radhe Shyam is simple, singing along with the bhajan is simple, even shouting along with the bhajan is simple. Capturing the audiance like Vikram Hazra, well that's not simple :).

This devotional song is a part of Vikram Hazra songs and bhajans and also for Krishna songs.

This a very beautiful bhajan, sung in the devotional voice of Vikram Hazra of Art of Living foundation, which was founded and formed by Sri Sri Ravinshankar, lovingly and gratefully called as Guruji (One who leads to light), incidentally i remember a quote that had slept through His mouth, from where wisdom flows with the grace and ease, as the waters of the rivers flow.

The quote is, as i remember, 'I am not leading you, I am behind you and pushing you (towards light or consciousness or God or knowledge or whatever one may want to call it.)' For more such pearls of wisdom one might visit Daily Sutras, where one can find short quotes with significant and deep knowledge that can change one's life radically if one ponders only on few of those. These shortest of expressions with the profoundest meanings can are available in different languages like English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Hindi, Portuguese and Marathi.

Another one which had made an impact on me and sounds so meaningful is that the God is seen and perceived as the father or the loving Mother, if one can see God as child. When the spiritual journey starts, God has to be taken care of as a pregnant mother takes care of her child. Most attention is on the child and everything else is of less importance, which dominated until now, or else the child might be lost. Similarly once the spiritual journey starts if utmost care is not taken and attention start gathering on else, there is a danger of losing the greatest.

This bhajan has some great Sutra within the lyrics of this devotional song, one of the favorite of Vikram Bhaiya as i have herd in most Art of Living Satsangs.

This bhajan points to us that we need the devotion and love like Mira, faith, patience and love like Sabri, immense unconditional love of Gopis, or a love of a Mother (Yashodaji) that can make the God listen and respond instantly.

Vikram Hazra is singer of Bhajans who loves music. Very often one sees quality variations in music and singing while he is performing. Also while he performs the along with the good music and fun, there is one more element, the element of divine which the listener feels and whole of the arena is transformed into highly charged zone, which takes over most of the listeners present. Those who have done the art of living courses or not does not mater. Every one present there feels this charge.

In this video one can see his love for music, this is one of the jamming sessions he often takes during the Bhajans or Satsangs. As the jamming progresses one can see that Vikram Bhaiya as he is lovingly called shifts to some unorthodox style of playing the guitar. The jamming shifts to the strumming like tabla or drumming. The other guitarists and some other musicians realizing the sudden shift in music decides to stop participating in the jamming and enjoy what is going on.

This kind of jamming are not prepared for, they just happen and that is the beauty of it.
