Ganesh Mantra - Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha (108 Repetitions)

Listen to the powerful lord Ganesh, lovingly called as Ganpati the remover of obstacles.

This Ganesh mantra is part of Vinayak Chaturthi Mantras and songs.

Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha

ॐ गम गणपतये नमः

There is beautiful information given for this mantra on the you tube by LilaSakura can't help copy pasting the same.

Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha
Rough Translation: "Om Salutations and Prostrations to Lord Ganesha"

"This mantra invokes the Lord Ganesha to remove every impediment in your life and in your works. By constant meditation on this mantra, all obstacles and blocked energy in your physical and astral bodies are released.
He brings writing and knowledge. But he is most often known as the "Breaker of Obstacles". This does not mean that if something blocks your way to success that appealing to Ganesh will result in your thundering through your opposition like some great juggernaut (a word derived from the name of a Hindu deity Jaganath). Rather, Ganesh breaks obstacles by working around them. He may not help you fix a relationship, but He might help you find a new one. He might not get you a raise at work, but you might get a job offer from another company for more money. Ganesh is a warrior, but is not into fighting for fighting's sake. Indeed, that is why he lost his head and it had to be replaced with the head of a elephant. Rather, He helps you find other ways of overcoming obstacles. The real obstacles He breaks are those which prevent you from recognizing alternative solutions."

"Ganesha mantras are siddhi mantras . Each mantra contains certain specific powers of Lord Ganesha. When chanted with the proper pranayama (rhythmic breathing) and sincere devotion, they will yield good results. In general, Ganesha mantras will ward off all evil and bless the devotee with abundance, prudence and success. Evil spirits dare not enter the home or the mind of the devotee where Ganesha mantras are recited.

...

"One more point to remember is that one should bathe or wash the limbs before sitting for repetition of the mantra. Also, one should do three or more pranayama before beginning the mantra. The minimum repetition of the mantra should be one full mala, or 108 times. When this is done at a fixed hour and place regularly for 48 days, it becomes an upasana, which means intense meditation, that will yield siddhis, or spiritual powers. Another warning to bear in mind is that one should use those powers only for healing the sick and other such selfless actions for the benefit of mankind. These powers should not be misused. Misuse of power may bring the curse of the asuras.

"This is a mantra from Ganapati Upanishad. One may always use it before beginning a journey, a new course in school, new career or job, or before entering into any new contract or business so that impediments are removed and your endeavor may be crowned with success."

Some interesting comments from you tube for this video

* I feel a suden burst of energy coming from within when listening to this mantra... deep :)

* great. Do you know the significance of 108?

ans : "The ancient mystics certainly held it in high esteem. They would say that the number 108 is in sync with the rhythms of time and space. When we use 108 repetitions of a mantra we are saluting the order of the universe and aligning our intentions with the divine will. Said another way, we are harmonizing our personal vibrations with the natural vibrations of creation."--Dennis Gaumond

* Thank you Lila. I loved this very much. I will continue the chant for the rest of the day while I'm out working in the garden. Much love to you my friend.

* Lila, I think we are telepathically connected. I was chanting this mantra yesterday. This video is another masterpiece - you have golden fingers, dear! Lots of Love, Bliss, and Hugs.

The poetic lyrics of the bhajan are also sweet sung in the praise of attributes of the form of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna.

Two names are beautiful in this world, say Rama or say Shyama.

One (Krishna or Shyama) steals the butter in Brij another (Shri Rama) eats the bel from Bhilini (Sabri, a devotee with divine love towards Lord Rama and infinite patience)

Both's work are filled with divine wonderful love.

One (Lord Krishna) kills the demon king Kans other (Lord Rama ) kills Ravana. Both destroys the agony and pain of weak, both are the source of power.

One dances with Radhika, the Other sits with Sitaji
Say Radhe Shyam or say Sita Ram both are beautiful names.

Bhairavi bhajan - Pandit Jasraj - Indian Classical Music

This Hindi devotional song is the part of Navratri Songs.

A bhajan in the voice of Indian classical vocalist Pandit Jasraj. The devotional song is called Maje Saware rang rachi. The bhajan is dedicated to color सावारे the color so dear to the devotees of  Lord Krishna and Maa Kail devotees like Mira and Shri RamaKrishna Paramhamsha. The color itself would make them remember the form of god they are devoted to and send them in deep spiritual ecstasy.

The lyrics of this bhajan points to the intensity of such devotees. This devotional Indian classical song describes the spiritual emotions of Meera. The Saavra colour itself is enough to take her deep in Lord Krishna's bhakti or devotion. Meera all her life sung devotional songs dedicated to Krishna.

Even the color of the devotion or bhakti is termed, same as the color of Lord Krishna. The depth of love towards Krishna is such. Her total attention is on towards Lord Krishna. Without Krishna or Shyam the world seems to be void of love.

Anup Jalota - Shree Ram Bhajan

This is a devotional song which narrates the incident when, Shri Ram needed help from Kevat (Boatman) to get across the holy river Ganga. This Hindi bhajan is beautifully sung by Anup Jalota.

The lyrics of this bhajan are beautiful and meaningful. The lyrics shows the deep insight the poor boatman had. It contains a short meaningful story.

Sometimes God requires the help from the devotees. Lord Rama had to cross the Ganga, Shri Rama, Shri Sita Maiya and Shree Lakshman approached the banks of the river. They had left the Kingdom of Avadh (Ayodhya) they were suppose to rule.

The mind of boatman on the river banks is filled with joy as he sees Lord Rama his God approaches him. With folded hands he is lost in the divine ecstasy.

The lord asks him to carry them across to the shore. Kevat had a very intelligent and devotional answer for the same. He says that he will have to wash the feet of Shri Rama, as Shri Rama's feet had amazing powers and he the poor boatman would be in difficulty if his boat turns into a lady.

This the boatman referred to an incident when a lady who was turned into a stone by curse was brought back to life as the holy feet of Shri Rama touched her stones form.

With this excuse the kevat gets a great opportunity to wash the holy feet and receive the Charnamrit.

Kevat leads the One of whom the Ved, Vedas and Granths (Sacred Texts) praises. The flowers falls down fro heaven as He steers the boat through the water of Ganges and the joy of devotion in his heart.

He takes Shri Rama, Shree Sita and Laxhman across the shores. Across the shores has a spiritual and mystical or symbloic meaning. That of steering one across the worldly and illusory ocean of life and death to the ocean of SatChitAnanda the consciousness of truth consciousness and bliss. Shirdi Sai Baba used tera beda par ho jayega तेरा बेडा पर हो जायेगा many a times. It was symbolic of freeing one from the pangs of birth and death, joys and sorrows.

When on the other banks when Shri Rama began to give the fare for the boat, the devotional and intelligent denied the money as the fare. He asked the Highest from the one who could give the highest. There a beautiful article on what one should ask from God. He asks for the beda par he says that since he steered them across the shores in return he would like Shri Rama to steer him across the shore too. The shore of life and death, joys, hopes, agony and weight.

Bolo Jai Shri Ram.

Below the the lyrics Kabhi Bhagwan ko Bhi Bhakton se kaam pade in English text

Lyrics or words or text in Hindi Script of this Anup Jalota Bhajan

There is a place in Mauritius which has the largest statue of shiva in the Indian Ocean. I think that the statue in Mauritius is bigger than the one shown here.

Glory to Lord Shiva ! Today is Maha Shivratree day ! I am just having a special thought for him.

OM NAMAH SHIVAYA! I have this CD. I love Yogi Hari. JAI JAI YOGI HARI! I will meet you soon @ your ahram in Florida!

mesmerising! just wondering if any one knows which place is this in india with such a glorious shiva statue

Ecstasic. Stand up oh Jiva , Close your outer eyes and open the inner ones and dance with Innocent (Bhola Lord Shiva). Om namah Shiva

In Origin, Now, In The End Only Shiva
Shiva is me I is Shiva

So so so beautiful! Thank You so much!
I really enjoy it

Om Namah Shivaya means: "Aum! To Siva I bow."
Definition: This is one of the chief mantras used by a all Hindus. It has different form according to the qualification of the worshipers. The number 3 is the number of the cosmos. The number 5 is the number of life. the 5 letters of the mantra represent the symbol of the 5fold aspects of all the forms of life, beginning with 5 elements.
Purpose: Spiritual realization as well as worldly achievements and warding of danger and fear.
108 reps 3xday

From what I understand, this is a very masculine mantra, to increase one's inner strength when faced with challenges..... Where did you read about what you wrote?

Wow! This was great! It really touched my soul and mind! Awesome! I feel blessed to have seen and heard this.

Wow.. I really feel this one in my heart. SO deep you know. I found this sound that brings you to a strangely deep meditative state within like 5-6 minutes

It is a Soaring Timeless Salutation to Lord Shiva, and sometimes a healing mantra that functions to integrate the chakras 6-1 of the body with the mantra Om/ Na/ Mah / Shi / Va/ Ya

Om Namah Shivaya... is there any translation for this?

Good things is fine. But the whole point of this prayer to Lord Shiva is to destroy the ego in all of us. Once our ego is destroyed then the prayer to Lord Shiva takes a different tune altogether.

hail the omnipotent one, Lord Shiva

Rendered so beautifully. Thanks

So beautiful and so soothing, peaceful goes through your body and mind.
Thanks

This is so beautiful. It makes me cry in joy. Thank you so much.

Thank you for posting such a wonderful composition of the great Adi Sankara.Powerful rendering by sri Yogi Hari.Really takes one to mount Kailash abode of Lord Shiva.

Vikram Hazra - Kaun Kehate hai Bhagwan Ate Nahin

Vikram Hazra devotional songs concertImage by Alpesh__Patel via Flickr

This devotional song is a part of Vikram Hazra songs and bhajans and also for Krishna songs.

This a very beautiful bhajan, sung in the devotional voice of Vikram Hazra of Art of Living foundation, which was founded and formed by Sri Sri Ravinshankar, lovingly and gratefully called as Guruji (One who leads to light), incidentally i remember a quote that had slept through His mouth, from where wisdom flows with the grace and ease, as the waters of the rivers flow.

The quote is, as i remember, 'I am not leading you, I am behind you and pushing you (towards light or consciousness or God or knowledge or whatever one may want to call it.)' For more such pearls of wisdom one might visit Daily Sutras, where one can find short quotes with significant and deep knowledge that can change one's life radically if one ponders only on few of those. These shortest of expressions with the profoundest meanings can are available in different languages like English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Hindi, Portuguese and Marathi.

Another one which had made an impact on me and sounds so meaningful is that the God is seen and perceived as the father or the loving Mother, if one can see God as child. When the spiritual journey starts, God has to be taken care of as a pregnant mother takes care of her child. Most attention is on the child and everything else is of less importance, which dominated until now, or else the child might be lost. Similarly once the spiritual journey starts if utmost care is not taken and attention start gathering on else, there is a danger of losing the greatest.

This bhajan has some great Sutra within the lyrics of this devotional song, one of the favorite of Vikram Bhaiya as i have herd in most Art of Living Satsangs.

This bhajan points to us that we need the devotion and love like Mira, faith, patience and love like Sabri, immense unconditional love of Gopis, or a love of a Mother (Yashodaji) that can make the God listen and respond instantly.

Below are the lyrics or words or text of the Bhajan

* Achyutam Keshwam, Krishna Damodaram
Ram Narayanam, Janaki Valabham,

Kaun kehate hai Bhagwan atte nahi
tum Meera ke jaisi bulate nahi

*

Kaun kehate hai Bhagwan khate nahi
Ber Sabri ke jaisi kilate nahi

*

Kaun kehate hai Bhagwan sote nahi
maa Yashoda ke jaisi sulate nahi

*

Kaun kehate hai Bhagwan nachte nahi
gopiyonki tara tum nachate nahi

Yashomati Maiya Se Bole Nandlala - Krishna Bhajan

Few video clips of the famous and popular Hindi Bhajan from the Hindi movie Satyam Shivam Sunderam, sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Manna Dey.

Little Krishna asks his mother Yashodha that why his beloved Radha is fair in color and He is dark complexioned? Mother Yashoda smiled and replied with immense love that He was born in the dark midnight, "Oh my dark skinned little love , that's the reason."

Oh  my love, black kajal of beautiful and fair skinned Radha's eyes, the black colored eyes of Radha have cast a spell of love on you. Hence your color is dark.

-Taras rahe hai jamuna ke tat, dhun murli ki sunne ko,
-Ab to daras dikhade Mohan, kyon duvidha me dala re.
Bari der bhai Nandalala,
-Sankat me hai aj vo dharti, jis par Tune janam liya,
-Pura kar de aj vachan vah, jo Gita me tune diya,
-Tum bin koi nahi hai Mohan, Bharat ka Rakhvala re.
Bari der bhai Nandalala.
